IMPROVEMENTS from v6

Note that AutoLUX v7 does not handle interreflections, and thus is not suited for most interior applications. We will continue to keep v6 current with new AutoCAD releases until v7 has indoor capability. v6 and v7 can coexist without problem on the same computer.

• No more black screen ! All inputs via dialog boxes, before calculation

• New target point options, including random points, follow a polyline, and on curved surfaces

• Many more obstructions -- 3Dfaces, extruded circles, lines, etc.

• Erase grid points inside/outside AutoCAD polyline

• Specify height of calculated result text values - use any AutoCAD font

• Roadway Pavement Luminance

• Shortcut sportslighting layouts

• Shortcut roadway layouts

• No limit on number target points

• No limit on number of luminaires

• Much easier custom luminaire symbols

• Floodlight mounting crossarm not required

• Optional instant "re-calculate" mode on luminaire change

• "On-the-fly" symmetry for floodlight aiming

• "On-the-fly" symmetry for floodlight aiming

• Uses information in candela files to produce fixture schedule

• Boundary-weighted averaging per British standard 5489

Must be reasonably acquainted with lighting application technology must be reasonably proficient with AutoCAD

To Evaluate AutoLUX or Purchase an AutoLUX license

1a)
Visit the AutoLUX website www.alux.org and follow the "Free Evaluation" link.When you click "Download and Install Autolux now", the Installer will download and install AutoLUX on your computer. OR.......

1b)
E-mail or call ITL at 303-442-1255 and ask that AutoLUX v7 be mailed to you. Once you receive the disk, install AutoLUX per the included instructions. Please note: There is a $29 charge for this option; it is not deductible from an eventual license purchase.

2)
Once installed, AutoLUX runs in Demo Mode. Demo Mode AutoLUX is identical to Real Mode, except that hypothetical candela values are used in the point calculations. Thus, you may completely evaluate AutoLUX via its Demo Mode.

3)
To move from Demo Mode to Real Mode:

i)
obtain your unique installation Site Code via the AutoLUX 'Authorize' command

ii)
order online at www.alux.org, OR call ITL (303-442-1255) to make payment arrangements

iii)
ITL will give you the required Authorization Code, via phone or return e-mail

iv)
enter the Authorization Code into AutoLUX via the 'Authorize' command
